Rishabh Mehrotra
President and Chief Executive Officer
Named president and CEO of SHPS in March 2006, Rishabh Mehrotra is transforming SHPS into a world-class provider of health management and health benefits solutions. Mr. Mehrotra brings 19 years experience in healthcare, benefits, and information technology to the position.
Described as a “visionary” by Managed Healthcare Executive, Mr. Mehrotra has spearheaded thought-leading publications such as Making Consumerism Work: A Practical Guide for Transforming Healthcare; the 2007 SHPS Health Practices Study; and Making Medicaid Work, a book he co-authored with Newt Gingrich. He was also named a finalist for Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young in 2008.
Prior to joining SHPS, Mr. Mehrotra was president and chief executive officer of Abilizer Solutions, Inc., a premier provider of presentation server infrastructure and human resources portals. He is a former consultant with McKinsey & Co., where he helped senior executives design and implement strategies that centered on growth, acquisition, and organizational transformation.
Mr. Mehrotra is actively involved in the healthcare community, serving as chairman of the board of the Health Enterprises Network. In 2008 he received the Community Health Leadership Award from Community Health Charities. Mr. Mehrotra also serves on the boards of Leadership Louisville and Greater Louisville, Inc. He is a graduate of Tufts University and holds a master of business administration degree from Harvard Business School.
