Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
As executive vice president, chief financial officer, Brad Wear is responsible for the strategic financial oversight and financial management of SHPS. He brings a strong strategic vision and keen market insight to the position, developed through more than 20 years of broad financial and executive management experience across all facets of the healthcare industry. Mr. Wear excels at defining meaningful metrics and creating a culture of accountability, while maintaining a strong sense of customer needs. He became SHPS’ EVP/CFO in April, 2010 after serving as the interim chief financial officer beginning in January, 2010.
Prior to joining SHPS, Mr. Wear was involved in several new healthcare business development ventures, including his role as a senior business development consultant for Healthways International, where he helped establish a foreign subsidiary to provide health management services to a non-U.S. population. He was also a senior consultant for Silver Sneakers, a subsidiary of Healthways and leading health, wellness, and exercise fitness program for older adults and seniors. Dating back to 1991, he has been the chief financial officer of public and private, high-growth and entrepreneurial healthcare companies including iTrax, Qualifacts Systems, Inc, Breathe America/digiChart, and REN Corporation, USA.
Mr. Wear is a graduate of Western State College of Colorado and holds a bachelor of arts degree in Accounting.
